The Commander of U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (INDOPACOM), Admiral Samuel J. Paparo revealed today in front of the Senate Armed Services Committee that an entire U.S. Army “Patriot” Missile Battalion, consisting of 4-6 MIM-104 “Patriot” Surface-to-Air Missile Batteries, was recently transferred from his area-of-responsibility to U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM). Admiral Paparo further revealed that the transfer, which appears to be wrapping up according to flight trackers, required approximately 73 C-17 Globemaster III flights from Asia to the Middle East.

I don’t know what the case is here, but when I was in the military, we would use drones like wild weasels to attract enemy fire to locate the exact source of the fire and to get them to light up their radars, to be targeted. I’m guessing these might be cheep drones for that.

The Afghan online news service, Khaama Press, reports that the United States has reassumed control of Bagram Air Base in eastern Afghanistan, to the north of Kabul, at the request of the Taliban Government; with several C-17s arriving last week at the base, carrying military vehicles, equipment and senior intelligence officials, including the Deputy Director of the CIA, Michael Ellis.
The redeployment of American servicemembers to Afghanistan following their withdrawal in 2021 has yet to be confirmed by U.S. or Taliban officials, though flight trackers did manage to confirm the arrival of several U.S. Air Force C-17 military transport aircraft last week at Bagram. Though this move likely makes no sense to some, Bagram Air Base and Afghanistan as a whole remains an extremely strategic location for staging future military operations in a war against both Iran and China. According to Yonhap News, South Korea and the United States have agreed on a plan to temporarily relocate several MIM-104F “Patriot” PAC-3 Surface-to-Air Missile Batteries from U.S. Forces Korea (USFK) to the Middle East, as tensions continue to grow with Iran. NBC News is reporting that the Pentagon has ordered the relocation of at least 2 U.S. Army MIM-104 “Patriot” surface-to-air missile batteries and a Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) anti-ballistic missile defense system from Asia to the Middle East in the past few days, as tensions between Iran and the United States continue to grow and future military action against Iran seems more and more likely.
Reports of these relocations appear in line with a massive number of tracked military cargo flights to the Middle East over the last week by the U.S. Air Force’s Air Mobility Command (AMC), with dozens of C-17s and several C-5s arriving at Isa Air Base in Bahrain as well as other bases near the Persian Gulf, almost all of which originated from Osan Air Base in South Korea; with planes continuing to arrive today at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar and Djibouti International Airport near Yemen.
The relocation of critical air-defenses such as THAAD and the repositioning of the USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70) and her Carrier Strike Group to the Middle East, as well as the deployment of at least 6 B-2 “Spirit” Long-Range Strategic Stealth Bombers recently to Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean, suggest that the United States may be preparing for a major conflict soon with Iran.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) is claiming to have attacked and seized two oil tankers today in the Persian Gulf, which they claim were part of a “fuel smuggling network” in the Gulf. The two tankers, identified as STAR l and VINTAGE, were captured during a naval operation by the IRGC earlier today, with 25 crewmembers being arrested while the tankers are transferred to an oil port in the city of Bushehr, where their fuel will be offloaded and seized by Iran. One of the tankers is believed to be owned and operated by the United Arab Emirates (UAE), while the other is currently unknown.

According to an article today from The Telegraph, a senior Iranian military official has stated that Iran will attack the U.S-U.K joint base at Naval Support Facility Diego Garcia, roughly 2,000 miles from Iran in the Indian Ocean, with ballistic missiles and drones in response to any kind of strike launched from the base by the United States.
This comes following the deployment of between 5 and 9 B-2 “Spirit” Long-Range Strategic Stealth Bombers from Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri to Diego Garcia over the past week, as rumors fly about possible future strikes against Iran’s nuclear and long-range missile facilities, after a letter earlier this month by U.S. President Donald J. Trump gave Iran a “two-month deadline” to make a new nuclear deal with the United States.
The Iranian official further added to the threat to attack Diego Garcia by also threatening to attack Turkey and countries hosting U.S. bases in the Middle East, stating, “There will be no distinction in targeting British or American forces if Iran is attacked from any base in the region or within the range of Iranian missiles. When the time comes, it won’t matter whether you’re an American, British, or Turkish soldier – you will be targeted if your base is used by Americans.”

The U.S. Navy and Air Force has launched what appears to be the largest series of strikes tonight against Houthi targets in Yemen, since the strike operation began roughly two weeks ago. Close to 100 precision-strikes are reported to have been launched by both aircraft and naval vessels in the Red Sea, targeting well over 80 military and infrastructure sites, as well as other targets, in the Al-Jawf, Amran, Hodeidah, Saada, Sanaa and other Governorates.
According to U.S. defense officials, Houthi command-and-control centers, air-defense systems, ballistic and cruise missile launchers, drone launch sites, weapons manufacturing facilities, underground weapons storage sites and high-value officials, were targeted during tonight’s wave of strikes; with daily strikes against the Iranian-backed Houthis set to continue until attacks on Israel and international shipping stop, and deterrence in restored in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.

Reuters reports that Russia has presented the United States with its list of demands for a deal to end the ongoing war in Ukraine and reset diplomatic relations with Washington, with officials stating that the list is “broad” and similar to previous demands made to Ukraine, the U.S, and NATO.
