There isn’t going to be a civil war in the
United States. A civil war would require people to
get off the couch, put the phone down, stop
ordering DoorDash, walk up a flight of stairs,
tolerate discomfort, miss meals, and commit to
sustained, organized effort. That alone rules it
out. The “civil war” people fantasize about is
a story they consume, not something they could
execute. Protracted coordination, discipline,
sacrifice, and follow-through are prerequisites.
Modern Americans are structurally incapable of all four. |
