Event

AP40 violent drug dealer of LYTTON Plaza pizza my drugs patio has violently stalked harassed charged me attacked me thrown beer at me threatened to kill me sent numerous thugs after me to assault me terrorize me violate me and threaten me
So I carried a knife which I displayed on my belt
If people noticed I simply explained it was my voodoo wand to ward off evil spirits in LYTTON Plaza.
Then I would point to my shoes and say these are my tools my running shoes and my phone.
SOG Field pup 1
4 inch exposed for a month while I showed the videos of AP40 attack
2025.06.12
attacking me to scores of business owners up-and-down
university Avenue Palo
whom approved of my actions
As they knew I had been attempting to safeguard downtown for three seasons

if storekeepers would look at my belt
I would inform them it is legal in California to carry up to 4.5 inch fixed blade concealed if you want but I was not even concealing at that first month
Proprietors in Palo Alto know there is a drug violence problem and approved of my actions as I was helping to make Palo Alto a safe city once again
Yet
I am the squeaky wheel complaining about drug violence in LYTTON Plaza therefore I am being persecuted and prosecuted for breaking a law
When
Most of my life it was legal to conceal up to a 4.5 inch fixed blade in California
Up to a 2.5 inch folding blade

Nobody ever bothered to tell me the law had changed
Nor gave me a warning
And this is what the police should have done when it is their enabling of AP40 the terrorist for nine months assaulting me and sending me death threats as I have documented to the police which was not acted upon
Which caused me to carry this knife

Palo Alto is dangerous
Palo Alto is un fair
Palo Alto used to be a nice place

No good deed goes unpunished

As an autistic kid growing up in Sharon Heights I learned about free speech through writing letters for ACLU and amnesty international in Palo Alto when I was 16 years old

I was attempting free speech on June 12, 2025 when AP40 violated my free speech station in three waves of violence recorded on video which were not acted up upon for nine months by Palo Alto police causing me to seek protection for myself in the event that I was charged again repeatedly by AP40
As he did Routinely
Where my routine is to run into the street into public view I have never drawn this knife on anybody and I do not intend to

I mistakenly believed PAPD officers who swore an oath to protect the constitution of the United States including first amendment was available to me in the town Square of Palo Alto

I did inform scores of shopkeepers this is my voodoo wand to ward off the evil spirits in LYTTON Plaza
Hoping simply displaying such a knife would give second thoughts to violent drug dealers about attacking me

If I am flushed out of this town things will get more violent I suspect with summer heat

I am OK with leaving this town as I am not welcome here but I need my charges dismissed.

I am the victim

I seek legal help ASAP to save LYTTON Plaza and Palo Alto

If ever a business owner shopkeeper or citizen seem concerned about my knife on belt I would explain and point to my shoes stating:
These are my tools my running shoes and my phone
Which I have been using for nine months nonviolently to illustrate the crime wave in the town Square of Palo Alto

I cannot help you with the details of any legal problem, because I'm not an attorney (and, moreover, not _your_ attorney), but can happily point you to Shouse Law Firm's page about that statute:
https://www.shouselaw.com/ca/defense/penal-code/21310/

Factual elements the DA has to prove:
• It meets the legal definition of a “dirk”/“dagger.”
• you knew that you were carrying it,
• it was substantially concealed on your person
• you knew that it could readily be used as a stabbing weapon.

DA doesn't need to prove anything about your intent.

Also worth knowing:

• A dirk or dagger is a knife capable of ready use as a stabbing weapon, the use of which may inflict great bodily injury or death.
• It does not matter whether the instrument has a handguard.
• The category of dirks and daggers excludes most pocket knives unless the blade is locked into position.
• You can legally carry a dirk or dagger in a sheath worn openly, suspended from your waist.
• Common PC 21310 defenses are that your knife was not a dirk or dagger, that you carried it openly, or that the police found it through an illegal search.

Folding knives (other than switchblade knives) are considered a dirk/dagger only if:
• the blade of the knife is exposed, and
• the blade is locked into position.
Therefore, you can legally carry a concealed pocket knife if it is closed or if the blade cannot be locked.

Here is another page further clarifying what is dirk/dagger, vs. what is not: https://www.shouselaw.com/ca/blog/dirk-or-dagger/

Notes at the former page include: CALCRIM No. 2501 – Carrying Concealed Explosive or Dirk or Dagger. Judicial Council of California Criminal Jury Instructions (2017 edition). See also People v. Wharton (1992) 5 Cal.App.4th 72. Also see People v. Brown (1988) 46 Cal.3d 432. See also People v. Dimitrov (1995) 33 Cal.App.4th 18. See also People v. Wolfe (2003) 114 Cal.App.4th 177.

Here's CALCRIM No. 2501 (jury instructions): https://www.justia.com/criminal/docs/calcrim/2500/2501/

Here's People v. Wharton: https://law.justia.com/cases/california/court-of-appeal/4th/5/72.html

The other cases mentioned do involve weapons but not dirks/daggers, so offhand I'm not clear on their exact relevance (possibly about concealment or illegal search).

SOG Field Pup appears to be an excellent 4" stainless steel fixed blade, with a 4" thermoplastic rubber handle, sold with a GRN (glass-reinforced nylon) sheath, with a belt clip and secondary attachment points. Nice tool.

The key to lawful possession in public would appear to be having it in its sheath worn openly, suspended from your waist. "Openly" means not "substantively concealed". The latter is a term of legal art that would be defined by caselaw.
